A date with exact day of the week before year 1 in the GREGORIAN calendar?
I just created a program on my calculator to figure what day of the week any given date is. It works perfectly fine, except that I would like to know if anybody could give me an exact date (eg: January 16th, 50 BC) and the exact day of the week (eg: satruday) associated with that date, so that I can check to see if my program works with BC years.
Also, everything has to be in the GREGORIAN calendar.

I hope you realize that there is no year "0" in the Gregorian calendar, or all your BCE calculations will be off by a year.
I would assume that the assassination of Caesar on the Ides of March 44 BCE would be a useful referent, but I'm sure that date is Julian.
edit: March 15, 44 BCE Julian was a Wednesday.
