How do I hook cable up to my dvd/vcr combo.?
I just bought a dvd/vcr combo. There is not a hook up for a cable line in the back of it. I would like to record cable shows through the vcr. Is there a certain cord I can use for this. I do have av on the back of the tv as well as the combo. Thanks
Many dvd/vcr combos do not have built in TV receivers.
If you have no cable line in the back, that is probably the case with yours.
If your TV (or cable box) has outputs on the back that can go to inputs on the combo, you can select channels with them and then record.

Can I connect a separate DVD player to a TV that already has a built in VCR/DVD player?
The DVD player has quit working on a 20" TV VCR/DVD player, can I just buy a DVD player and connect it to the TV? I'm sure it would be cheaper (and much less hassle) than trying to get it repaired, but I don't know if it would work. Anyone know?
It will work as long as the TV has some kind of video inputs in the back. If that's the case, it's still works like any other TV and you can connect a DVD player or other similar device.
If by chance it does not, and it only has the coaxial type connector, like the cable coming out of your wall, then you can by an RF modulator to connect any DVD player to the TV. You can pick one up at any radio shack, just mention it, they'll know exactly what you need.
